Lost or Found

I can’t find my way around
These talking walls at home
I want to hear some pleasant sounds
Escape for the evening tones
I messaged you with one request
A night out on the town
My invitation you laid to rest
Now I’m in the lost or found…the lost or found

I woke up late this morning
Just managed to survive
The weather outside was storming
Got a text, your feelings have died
I reached for something I could trust
And wrote till I got it down
The storms had passed me by at dusk
Now I’m in the lost or found…the lost or found

Lost when I found her
She just let me down
I’ll party with the evening
In this lost or found
Working on a song I wrote
Tailoring the sound
I’m the chief until tomorrow
In the lost or found

Days gone by, I’ve had to learn
To take it all in stride
Next time an invitation’s made
And turn down calls for pride
I can pick it up and always find
An answer in the sound
Out on the town, or in this place
I’m in the lost or found…the lost or found

And if I were given just one wish
To make my dreams come true
I’d ask for someone that loves me
As much as I loved you
And maybe then she’ll understand
What I find in the sounds
How they keep me satisfied
While I’m in the lost or found…the lost or found

Lost when I found her
She just let me down
I’ll party with the evening
In this lost or found
Working on a song I wrote
Tailoring the sound
I’m the chief until tomorrow
In the lost found…. I’m in the lost or found
I’m in the lost or found…where I can be found
