Catchers

Concert catchers are a cop’s best friend
One takes photos headed for the can
As Buster reaches the situation room
He smells the stench of a stoned bridegroom
With cause for a growl and showing of teeth
Buster stands outside the two stall seats
The groom will make the mistake of his life
A victim of broken sensor flush lights

When it’s time to go
Catch breath, defy death
Take your place aside
Strike a thinker’s rest
While the ones next door
Can’t flush the fast lane stuff

Two guys on a hot seat breaking the law
Buster takes orders to make use of his paws
Doors swing open to the barking commands
As both come out holding up their hands
Caught in the middle of a loud rocking place
With evidence on a smart camera’s face
A blunder by two on that fateful night
Victims of broken sensor flush lights

When it’s time to go
Catch breath, defy death
Take your place aside
Strike a thinker’s rest
While the ones next door
Can’t flush the fast lane stuff

If you hang out in circles
Too lofty and high
The next stop may be
A ticket to ride
To an establishment
Where players are taken
Regardless of one’s status
Doing time is their making

Barking for the goods contained in a gunny
Buster takes a hard look at all the money
Standing his ground till the cop team cries
Finish busting seats, and stopping the buy
Convincing a crowd of revelers in sight
To play by rules for a month of their lives
With two sleeping in the pokey that night
Victims of broken sensor flush lights

When it’s time to go
Catch breath, defy death
Take your place aside
Strike a thinker’s rest
While the ones next door
Can’t flush the fast lane stuff

While the ones next door
Can’t flush the fast lane stuff

While the ones on the floor
Can’t flush the fast lane stuff
